VAT Dual Pricing App – Setup Guide

This guide will help you configure the app, customize labels, create pricing rules, and enable the app on your Shopify store.

Step 1. Configure App – General Settings

The General Settings section allows you to control how VAT-inclusive and VAT-exclusive prices are displayed on your store. Access General Settings Go to Shopify Admin → Apps → Select the VAT Dual Pricing App → Click on the Settings tab → Configure the following options → Save. Enable App – Enabled – Displays dual pricing (VAT included & excluded) on your store.; Disabled – Default Shopify pricing will be used. Always make sure the app is enabled to use its features.

Enable Base Price for Product (Exclude Tax)

Enable this option to show the base product price excluding VAT.

• The VAT-included price will be calculated automatically.
• Helps display both tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive pricing clearly.

Size Ratio Between Prices

Set the size ratio between VAT-included and VAT-excluded prices.

• Example: 1:1, 2:1
• Useful for highlighting one price more prominently than the other.

Which Price Will Show First

Choose which price appears first on product and collection pages.

Options include:

• VAT Included Price
• VAT Excluded Price

Step 2. Customize Labels & Colors You can customize how pricing labels and colors appear on your storefront. Tax Included Price Label Add a custom label for VAT-included prices.

• Example: Incl. VAT

Tax Excluded Price Label Add a custom label for VAT-excluded prices.

• Example: Excl. VAT

Tax Included Price Color Select the color for VAT-included prices to match your store design.

Tax Excluded Price Color Select the color for VAT-excluded prices for better visibility and contrast.

Step 3. Create Rules

The Rules feature allows you to apply custom pricing logic to specific products or collections. Rule Title Enter a name for the rule to easily identify it.

Set Price or Percentage Define pricing adjustments for selected items.

• Set a fixed price or percentage
• Apply for VAT included and excluded pricing

Rule Applied To Choose where the rule will be applied:

• All Products
• Specific Products
• Collections

Rule Priority Set priority when multiple rules apply.

• Lower values (e.g., 0) have higher priority.

Save Rule Click Save to apply the rule settings.

Step 4. Enable App Embed (Activate on Theme)

To display dual pricing on your storefront, you must enable the app in your theme. Steps to Enable App Embed

• Go to Shopify Admin.
• Navigate to Online Store → Themes.
• Click Customize on your active theme.
• Open Theme Settings → App Embeds.
• Locate VAT Dual Pricing App.
• Toggle Enable ON.
• Click Save.

Setup Complete

After completing these steps:

• VAT-inclusive and VAT-exclusive prices will be displayed
• Labels and colors will match your branding
• Rules will apply custom pricing logic
• The app will be active on your storefront

Your store is now ready to present clear and flexible dual pricing to customers.
